Unfortunately, this is but the beginning of the story
Fossil fuels, as everyone knows, are non-sustainable. Every bit used today, diminishes the remaining endowment of fossil fuel resources available to our children and grandchildren. This means that the energy security of our children and grandchildren is not assured. The energy supply crisis of the 1800s was only delayed by our shift to fossil fuels. This crisis is now upon us, again, as affordable supplies of fossil fuels will end within the lifetime of our children and grandchildren.
